Caring for your winter coat
Washing, drying and storing your coat so it lasts many winters.
Read the label The manufacturer's care instructions come first. When in doubt, take it to a dry cleaner.
Salt and slush Wipe the hem with a damp cloth when it is stained with salt, before marks set in.
Drying A down coat dries best on low heat with a few dryer balls to restore loft.
Storage In spring, store the coat clean and dry on a wide hanger in an airy place. Avoid keeping it compressed.
